Hendrix ADOPTED!

Good news! Bittersweet news- Hendrix was adopted on Sunday at the Petco adoption event.

 

I had debated going, as I had just been at an event the day before out in the freezing cold at a KCMO home tour event.  Felt like I needed a break.  I had a feeling that I should just go, even if it was for an hour or so. 

 

I walked in with sweet Hendrix and this couple picture immediately came over to him and knew who it was based off of the KC Pet Project website.  Unbelievable!  Before I could even tell them about him, they assured me that's who they wanted.  I insisted on sharing about him so they knew for sure that he is NOT a perfect dog... and has some work to do! They didn't seem to mind- also didn't mind that he was heartworm positive and unneutered.  The shelter takes a hefty deposit and returns it to the owners after he has been medically treated.  Very glad about that.

 

The couple's name was Pam and Steve and they have no kids, just a cat.  (good luck!) They live on 3 1/2 acres and he will be their only dog.

 

I wish him the best but our house sure was a little quieter Sunday night. :( On to save the next one! Will post when he or she arrives!
