We had a wonderful past weekend filled with family and celebrations of many kinds! My grandparents came in from Topeka on Saturday to celebrate his 94th birthday then we celebrated Easter together on Sunday. My brother was in town from Iowa, too.
Did an attempted photoshoot- everyone needed to be in the action apparently..! And Peyton enjoyed the celery...
Granddad with his loot! We gave him a new frame with a picture of him and Peyton in it. My mom stocked him up on goodies.
Yummy Dairy Queen cake!
Uncle Scott helped entertain Peyton with packaging lol
And onto Easter...!
We went to the 9 am service so Miss P had to skip her morning nap (as she won't nap out and about- she's a crib girl these days). So that was interesting. Had a lovely service and Chris and I took turns walking her around. She made it through, and took a 2.5 hour nap afterwards. Tired girl. Had an incredible dinner (see below) made by my mom later in the afternoon, followed by our annual egg hunt between Scott, Chris and I. Yes, we still do an egg hunt and it gets more violent every year. :)
How cute are these? Mom got one of them made for each of us. Dark chocolate- YUM!
Kept entertained with a spoon
Peyton wore my old dress :)
Me on the left, Peyton on the right :)
Opening her Easter goodies from her Grammy and Granddad
Chris and I got her a monogrammed Jellycat brand stuffed rabbit (AMAZINGLY soft brand of toy!)
You can see the P C D monogram on this one :)
We had a wonderful Easter! Hope you did, too. Can't wait for egg hunts with this little one next year!
