Halloween!

Goodness, better late than never on Halloween festivities pics! Been a busy busy here! Also going to post Peyton's 15 month update here shortly.

Hilarious pic of the babies in our Wednesday play group- had a little Halloween 'party' for them... aka eat Halloween themed food with music and let them run/crawl around :) Peyton is on the far right next to her friend, Elle, the gumball machine.

We took Peyton to a Halloween event in Lenexa at a pond- very, very cool. Was gorgeous weather at 72 degrees. It was PACKED.. and not a ton for her to do but did walk around the park and see the sights.

 And some pumpkin patch pictures....

Schaake's pumpkin patch- was SO hot.... who would have thought?

Annual pumpkin carving with my parents on Halloween day
We spent Halloween eve with some of our neighbors, the Culpeppers and Bennetts (Eli is 2 months older than Peyton, and Hugh is 2 weeks older).
We took the babies to the Bennett's church event- very fun and the kids had a good time! Was busy, busy! Picture above: Rachael, Eli, Peyton and I, and Megan and Hugh
Daddy pic- Mike and Eli, Chris and Peyton, Scott and Hugh
Peyton's favorite thing- the bounce house that she literally did not want to come out of.
The kids after doing a few houses of trick or treating. Peyton loved taking the candy out of the bowls and putting it in the bag- she got some good candy for her mom and dad (shhh! don't tell her) :)
We hung out at the Hertzenberg's house (other neighbors) out front- they had the Royals game on a big screen (projected onto a sheet, I think!) and a fire pit.  Peyton spent probably 45 minutes transferring candy from one bowl to another and biting them.  She eventually got some out on accident and surprised herself. haha She was a hoot.

Such a fun Halloween!

Peyton's 1st Halloween

Is that a face or what. Using those eyebrow skills again...

Pumpkin carvings.... guess which one's Peyton's? :)

Here's our little frappucino.  I know we've driven the "Coffey/Coffee" theme into the ground, but this was too cute to resist. :)

And poor Scout- 5th year of being the dreaded turtle. He hates his life in this thing... look at that face.

Our first family Halloween pic- a very happy one, clearly.

Peyton's buddy, Hugh, and his parents stopped by to say hi- everyone continues the happy theme...

Now we're calm.

My good friend, Megan, and I with our babies- not sure what I would do without this girl!
As the night goes on, Scout's depression in his costume furthers.... buries his face and literally won't get up.

We celebrated Dad's birthday which was on the 1st - yummy apple crisp!

Halloween- what's that?

Peyton had a play date with her friend, Bennett, on Halloween- busy day!

And just had to include this- too cute. It's getting chilly here finally and I love this girl in sweaters.

Hope you had a great Halloween, too! :)

Happy Halloween from the Coffeys!

wreath I made last year (added in the little sign)

Current stats: sitting on the couch watching the original 1978 Halloween with some borderline bad acting.  We have had 8 kids in the past hour... 2 of which being over the age of 15.  Woo hoo! hehe :) More candy for us I guess- not good.

The first few visitors, Scout literally went ballistic- making all sorts of awful noises and flailing uncontrollably as Chris attempted to hold him back from the door.  Our quick solution was to strap on the trusty and infamous turtle costume we got when hew as a puppy.  You put that thing on him and you would have thought he had done the WORST thing in the world- he literally lays around and is depressed.  Don't mean to ruin your Halloween, Scout- but you, my friend, are out of control.  Enjoy the pics. :)

"Look, Mom! It looks like me!"

Scout's 3rd Halloween

in depression..

"I hate this holiday."
