An educating, enlightening, and exhausting 12 months later... I GRADUATED! :)
Chris's parents came in all the way from Chicago and stayed with us. Graduation was on Saturday late afternoon so we did that (visited the actual campus of Baker for the first time.. as an alumn!) and then had a WONDERFUL dinner at my parents house. I got some of the most special gifts from my in-laws, parents, and grandparents. It was a very special weekend and it feels so good to be done- but I have to admit, I'm already missing the fascinating classes and just learning in general. I know I can do the same types of things on my own... but it's not the same not having the interaction and discussion with other people.
On the school front, school ended well. We had a full day on Monday, ending in our party. 1st-5th had a half day on Tuesday. Report cards are done, but nothing is ready for January. Oh well. :) Pics below:
My little brother, Scott, came in and read The Grinch to the kids. We watched the movie after. :) They loved him but thought it was pretty strange that I had a brother.
This is my little guy with autism who is moving. :( Also the reason why my full time para was taken away- still getting over that. She was wonderful and the fact that I need an extra pair of hands with this particular group is an understatement.
Well, as I sit on the couch with wet hair watching the Today show...I know I need to get moving on my day. Going to run to Target, clean the house a bit, and get a chunk of my packing done. Leaving for Chicago early tomorrow morning-hoping to avoid the weather! We'll do Christmas with my family today/this evening so that will be nice. This year is my first Christmas away from home- trying to be a big girl about it. We'll see how well I do at that. :)
Will update when I can- until then, Merry Christmas from the Coffey House!!!
