so glad i do not live in a small town

we got back a few hours ago from a super fun and relaxing night in weston, mo.  the one thing i did learn... is how much i truly appreciate overland park and how much i would KILL myself if i lived in a small town. i thoroughly enjoyed visiting, but could NEVER live there. 

the B & B we stayed at was super adorable and quaint. the husband does the cooking (AMAZING) and the wife does the decorating. exciting news: we found our kitchen inspiration from the dining area in the B & B! all of her colors in the house are from nell hills, a store in atchison (and now in briarcliff village). we ended up heading to atchison for lunch/to go to nell hills and bought 2 paint samples! you can see pics of what our kitchen could possibly look like below!

this is "the hatchery" where we stayed and this was our room! it had a working fireplace that ran all night long so needless to say, i was HOT. it's been a lonnnggg time since i slept on TOP of the covers! lol

it's hard to see, but the wall color is called 'front porch and is a pale blue/grey' with a cream trim. this is what we're thinking! oh and by the way, this is the dining area! :)

michael buble was also played during breakfast and the owners had three dogs.

             the first shop we went in                                 the pirtle winery- we got 2 bottles! mine is blueberry- yummm yum!

and to top off this great weekend, OSU just beat KU! HAAAALLLLEELUJAH! :)

instead of 'EMAW' ... i say 'EMAC!' (every man a cowboy!)
