country adventures in ottawa, kansas

hmmm what could this be a picture of?

YES! you guessed it! it's my car stuck in the middle of a road in ottawa, kansas!

oh my, it was not good my friends.... here is the tale.

i was driving to a bridal shower of a college friend on that snowy day (saturday).  roads in overland park were fine, the highway was fine, and even the roads in ottawa were decent. everything was fine... i'm driving along, enjoying the scenery of nothing-ness and all the sudden...

STUCK.

no joke, this happened in seconds. stranded. i had hit a huge snow drift of about 2 feet that came out of NOWHERE. i immediately call chris.  i call the poor bride-to-be to let her know that i am stranded in a country-style blizzard.  she calls her fiance who owns a truck with 500 wheels on it. he searches for me. he finds me..... an hour and a half later. he pulls me out of the snow. for many many feet. we park my car at a wendy's right off the high way, he drives me to the shower where i walk into a room of people i do not know 2 hours late.

if you had a rough day, i hope this made you feel better. :) hehe everything turned out fine, but oh man- that is a story that will go down in the BOOKS...

on a VERY happy note, chris and i went to john mayer last night and it was out of this world. once i get pics up i will post some for your viewing pleasure!
