This is what we're having for dinner tomorrow night. Which flavor will it turn out to be? The answer awaits in the mystery meat that will be cooking in the Coffey kitchen tomorrow...
Are you ready to laugh? More like laugh AT me? Well, get ready to after reading this disaster of a post.
So I spend most of my small amount of free time pinning (on Pinterest) and specifically on the weekends, I look for recipes to make for the coming week. I found a post that a couple people I knew pinned already called "Bacon Ranch Slow Cooker Chicken." Apparently, it's "one of the best weight watcher recipes" this person has ever made. So I'm thinking, "Great! I love reading great reviews and then trying it myself." I got all the ingredients at the store and proceeded to put everything together tonight so it'd be ready to start cooking in the morning. Ready for the FAIL part? Here it goes...
Well, this blogger or whoever posted to the website must have been on some type of hallucinogen when they ate what they cooked. MY mistake was relying solely on the poster's opinion, and forgoing scrolling to the bottom (which I honestly didn't know was there) to read the 38 reviews/comments OTHERS have posted...
Let me share a few of my faves:
Becca says, "This was quite possibly the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten. I'm so mad I devoted three hours to this crap.:
Lindsey B. says, "This was awful!! A huge waste of time and money."
Shelley says, "Unfortunately, I didn't read the comments before I made the recipe. It sounded so good. Mine turned out badly, as well."
....me too, Shelley....me too...
And my personal favorite from Angela...
"What a nightmare. I should have just applied Murphy's law and used the cream soup, knowing that if it could curdle it would. My husband asked why I had made cat food for dinner. I'm sad that I wasted that lovely yogurt and pound of chicken."
Now you tell me this isn't funny. Stay tuned for the ending to this horrific cooking tale... and if you're into making cat food- maybe for your own cat or for a neighbor's- check out the link below. MEOW.
