 Here we go!

1. What is you favorite summertime snack?

Popsicles and fruit, ice tea with mint

2. Do you tan at all? (tanning bed, outside, spray, etc)

Noooooooo!! Sunscreen Queen here.  I use the MAX number of sunscreen protection and will definitely sit out at the pool, but am not out to get tan.  My goal is to have great skin at 50 and beyond. :) We'll see if it pays off!

3. What is your favorite activity to do outside?

Pool, dog park with Scout, BBQ

4. Do you recycle?

That is an ongoing marital debate. :) Our neighborhood will be doing it (free) starting in January of 2012.

5. How hot is it where you live today?

91 degrees- there is no "spring" in Kansas. :)

1. Do you plant a garden or flowers, or neither?

Well, if I'm going to be completely honest I have to say neither and here's why- I have a husband who rocks who does these things solo.  Now that I say it out loud, I should be helping him more! :/ We don't have a garden but lots of beautiful flowers this year! (2nd year in our home)

2. Does it bother you to have your blinds or curtains open after dark so people can see in your house?

Ehh not really. Our house backs up to a golf course so no one can really see in the back.  Now if I'm home alone at night, that's a whole other story... ! :)

3. Do you like to go camping?

Yes! I have a one-night-limit.

 

4. Do you have a laptop or a desk top computer?

Laptop girl here

5. What time during the day do you have your most energy?

Mornings- after I'm up and about, that is.  Teaching full day Kindergarten requires LOTS of energy in the morning. :) We all (both the kids and I) tend to go downhill after lunch. haha ;)

Hoooooo Am I?

1. Do you make a budget and keep it, or just fly by the seat of your pants?

I'm a conservative spender so I guess you could say I "fly" but safely "fly" by the seat of my pants. :) Yes, we have a budget but I'm never concerned about putting a dent in it.



2. Do you do spring cleaning and if so which month?

Nope- we do a full-out clean each Sunday but probably need to do a spring clean here before summer comes in our basement. :/


3. Are you a yard sale lover and do you have them and go to them?

Yes, love them and go to them. :) I rarely buy things but when I do, they are treasures! I also buy lots of classroom things there- books etc.


4. What do you take when you have a headache?

Ibuprofen and a Dr. Pepper from time to time- I'm on a migraine med, as well.


5. Name 3 things that you feel lucky to have in your life!

1. My husband, wonderful dog, and family
2. My friends
3. My job- it's pretty cool to have a job where people tell you they love you all day- and the hugs are endless. Never a shortage of love.

HOO am I?

Linking up to HOO are you over at Night Owl Crafting!  I love owls so this blog always puts a smile on my face. :) Writing this from the couch on a cold night in Kansas, watching Man of the House with my former love, Jonathan Taylor Thomas- on the last night as a 23 year old! Hereeee we go....

1. Where do you usually have your thermostat set at in the winter?

Oh wow, I am embarassed to say. :) Usually between 60 and 65. Surprisingly, we're not cold- we just layer up and have an electric blanket at night. Money doesn't grow on trees, you know. :)

2. What room do you tend to put off cleaning until last?

The office aka the "junk room." (also where my rabbits and turtles reside)



3. Do you like to clean with music on or off?

On! But sometimes it's relaxing to just have it quiet- I don't get enough of that.



4. When do you take time to blog?

Typically on weekends or on a weeknight where I want to get my mind off of other things- I love the blog world.



5. How much time do you spend looking at other blogs a week?

Gosh- how much time do I spend or how much time COULD I spend?! :) Probably an hour or two a week- I could do it all day long, that's for sure. So many talented people out there. Especially since I've started following all my fellow teacher friends- I'm even more addicted.

HOO are YOU?

 First time doing this so here we go! Click on the button above to join in on the fun. :) 1. Are you married/in a relationship/single? For how long? I am married and have been since June of 2009! So that makes us a year and a half? A little over. :) Unbelievable it's been that long.  2. What do you do for a living? Do you enjoy it?
I teach full day Kindergarten and with the group I have this year, I can't believe I am going to admit this- but yes, I enjoy it.  It's been a great confirmation to me as a new teacher that this is what I love and am meant to do, despite of the beyond-challenging circumstances.  I especially enjoy my job today with the lovely snow day we were given! :) (Blizzard of the midwest, anyone?) 3. In what state do you live? Where were you born and raised? I live in Kansas!  I was born in Dallas, Texas, moved to Greenville, South Carolina, and then here with my family in 1999.  Have been here ever since and don't plan to change that.
 

4. Do you have children? If so, how many? If not, do you want them?

                                            
             Haha oh goodness- what a question. The answer is NO.  I turn 24 this month and have a lot of living to do before that happens. Yes, we want them but we want them in the very far away future. :)



5. Who is your favorite blogger to follow and why?
Oh gosh- I could name so many. There are so many amazingly talented bloggers out there.  If I had to pick a favorite, it would be Christina over at Christina's Adventures (who I mentioned in my post below this about giveaway winnings).  She is the first person I've followed that I consider a "blog friend." :) We have a lot in common so it's fun to write back and forth- she is awesomely creative so be sure to pop over and check out some of the things she's made.
