Hello All!
Happy MLK Day!
I'm enjoying a quiet morning at home with the dog, watching the Today Show while they review the Golden Globes that I missed last night. Heading over to my parents' here in a bit to explore my brand new sewing machine my grandparents generously gave me for Christmas- so this is where my sewing pro readers come in-
I need easy beginner's sewing projects. If you have any, please share!
I'm considering this one from The Girl Creative
After that, the plan is to relax, possibly head to Ann Taylor at the mall with Melissa and Kelly- last day of their 40% off everything sale. If I could dress entirely from one store, Ann Taylor would be it.
This is a bridesmaid's dress but I would wear this for sure- gotta love yellow.
Teachers, enjoy our much deserved day off. And of course, thank you to a man who changed our world for the better forever, Martin Luther King Jr.

Hi Megan, I am not a sewing pro, but I can tell you there alot of great, useful beginner projects out there for you to try. Pillow cases are fun to begin with and you can personalize them with all the great fabric that is available now. Also, if you search the many crafting blogs, there are great ideas like the simple sewing machine cover on the Sparke Power! blog. it would be perfect for your new machine. Also, i am a huge fan of the One yard Wonders book. There are projects for every level and interest in that book. Have fun and good luck!
ReplyDeleteHey...that project idea you have would probably be perfect for a beginning sewing project! I still consider myself a beginner sewer...I just can't get it quite perfect...ever!
ReplyDeleteHey...btw...you have to check out my post about a winner!! You might be happy... :)
