You may be thinking- "Hmmm what is this?" Well, my friend- let me tell you...
The same day Scouty Boy had his run-in with the skin infection (which is healing slowly now), I encountered a problem that is a constant struggle and pain (extreme pain)0 called plantar fascitis.
I've been reading about it and talked with a trainer at the gym- sounds like a slow recovery that I need to speed up exponentially with school right around the corner. Long story short, this condition is caused usually by overuse (AKA me actually going to the gym daily) and makes walking and any pressure on the foot extremely painful.
The lack of blogging has been partly caused by this newfound issue that I am ready to solve by amputation. :)
Anyone else dealt with this lovely condition? It's amazing how much you need your feet...!

ugh my husband deals with it!! So sorry you are too :( He felt it got better with certain stretches (the dr. told him which ones to do) and icing every night. Hope yours gets better soon!!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I dealt with this two springs ago and it lasted for months because I chose not to stop running. About three months after it started I took some time off from running and it was better in about 8 weeks. Stretching helps, but it really helps prevent it once you get rid of it. Which reminds me I better remember to stretch more often so I don't get it again! Hang in there and rest up!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement, girls- it's a total pain. :( Literally. haha :)
ReplyDeleteMy mom has this and she went to a doctor to get special insoles for her shoes. She also has some other health issues, but she'll use a tennis ball to stretch out her foot by rolling her arch around it. Hope it gets to feeling better soon!!!
